As a marketing assistant at Evoluted, I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to grow and sharpen my skills. When I heard about the Girls in Marketing Programme DMGP2024, I knew it was something I had to be a part of. Now, after finishing the program, I can confidently say it has been a game-changer in my professional journey.

What is the Girls in Marketing Programme DMGP2024?

The Girls in Marketing Programme (DMGP2024) is an initiative designed to empower women in the marketing industry. It aims to provide participants with essential knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities. The program covers various aspects of marketing, from the basics of digital marketing to advanced strategies in content creation, SEO, and analytics.

Gaining Insight and Practical Knowledge

One of the standout benefits of the DMGP2024 for me has been the depth and breadth of the curriculum. Each module is meticulously crafted to cover key areas in marketing. From learning the latest SEO techniques to understanding consumer psychology, the program offers a comprehensive view of the industry.

A Platform for Connection and Collaboration

Beyond the knowledge and skills, DMGP2024 has proven to be an excellent platform for networking. The community of like-minded women is incredibly supportive and inspiring. I've had the chance to connect with fellow marketers from various backgrounds and experiences, which has been invaluable. This network is not just about professional growth; it's about building lasting relationships and a supportive community.

Learning from Industry Experts

Another highlight of the DMGP2024 is the access to industry experts. The program features guest lectures and workshops from seasoned professionals who share their experiences and insights. These sessions have provided me with a deeper understanding of current trends and best practices in marketing. Learning directly from those who have excelled in the field has been motivating and has given me a clearer vision of my career path.

Why the DMGP2024 is a Must for Aspiring Marketers

If you’re an aspiring marketer or even a seasoned professional looking to refresh your skills, joining the Girls in Marketing group is a must. It’s more than just a training program; it’s a community that fosters growth, collaboration, and empowerment. Here are a few reasons why I believe the DMGP2024 stood out:

I decided to gather insights from a few members about their experiences with the program and what they gained from it.

Lucy Richardson - Marketing graduate

‘I’ve loved the program, at uni everything was more theory-based, so it’s been great to learn from real-life industry professionals and see practical examples of marketing in action. The networking opportunities have been fantastic, and I’ve really enjoyed discovering different career paths and hearing people’s advice.’

Lily Deal- Marketing Executive

“I joined the Girls in Marketing Digital Growth Programme because I had recently started a new job at a marketing agency after working in house for a RLFC.

I wanted to work on my professional development and upskill with like-minded individuals, something I didn't have the opportunity to do in my previous in-house job.

When a colleague suggested the Girls in Marketing Digital Growth Programme to me, I jumped at the chance. It was exactly what I wanted! I knew I lacked skills in certain areas of marketing, and I wanted to offer our clients the best service possible. I love learning, and I was excited by the community that Girls in Marketing provides.

I loved the programme so much that I even signed up for the membership afterwards. I've been in the membership for almost 2 weeks now and have already completed about 3 of their courses. With the DMGP and the membership, I've grown my LinkedIn connections by over 1,000 new connections! It's such a lovely feeling to have this community at my fingertips. Whenever I have a marketing query, I know I can get so much support from the girls in the group”

Louise Cranston- Marketing Manager

‘I really enjoyed the DMGP, as a marketer working on my own managing the UK for the business I work in, being able to develop my skills is important to me and to also find fellow marketers.

As marketing is a fast moving and ever changing industry it can be difficult to keep on top of all the industry news and trends. I decided to apply for the DMGP to help me grow my marketing skills. I was so surprised when I found out I'd got accepted to the programme.

The programme was so beneficial for me allowing me to meet a community of fellow marketers who all had a similar growth mindset and passion for their marketing career.

Throughout the programme I learnt so many skills that I could takeaway and act in my role as a Marketing Manager. From learning about email marketing strategies, to SEO, reporting and even storytelling, there was so much valuable learning.

Since being a part of the programme I decided to join Girls In Marketing, where I have been welcomed into a supportive community built around learning and development'.

I also asked Olivia Hanlon a few questions about the programme and for her to share her thoughts.

Olivia Hanlon - Founder and CEO of Girls In Marketing

'I was inspired to launch the Digital Marketing Programme to address the lack of accessible, practical marketing education, especially for women and those without traditional pathways into the field. I wanted to create a platform where current professional marketers could boost knowledge through learning from industry experts and build confidence in their skills as well as meet other likeminded marketers'.

What specific goals did you hope to achieve with this programme?

'The key goals were to: 1. Make marketing education accessible to people from diverse backgrounds.
2. Foster a supportive community of like-minded marketers who can collaborate and learn from each other.
3. Help attendees advance in their careers, whether by gaining new skills, expanding their professional network, or pursuing new opportunities'.

Final Thoughts

My experience with the Girls in Marketing Programme DMGP2024 has been incredibly rewarding. It has equipped me with the skills and confidence needed to excel in my role as a marketing assistant and beyond. More importantly, it has connected me with a fantastic community who share my passion for marketing. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to make their mark in the marketing world.
